In June 2023, the National Democratic Institute organized the 'Beyond the Quota: Political Participation of Women in Southeastern Europe' conference in Sarajevo. The event brought together women from the region's political parties to tackle critical issues such as combating violence against women in politics, understanding the nexus of gender, money, and politics, and empowering women’s party organizations. The conference provided a platform for discussing legislative reforms, fundraising campaigns for women candidates, and strategies against gendered disinformation. This event contributed to fortifying women's roles and addressing the pressing challenges within the political landscape of Southeastern Europe
