In a continued commitment to promote transparency and combat corruption, The Regional Integrity Initiative of the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) hosted its regional Anti-Corruption and Party Finance Academy in Belgrade from March 31 to April 2, 2023. The event was designed exclusively for liberal political parties and welcomed delegates from seven Southeastern European countries.
Over the course of three days, participants had an opportunity to partake in a series of sessions, with the central focus on political finance transparency and mechanisms to fight corruption. The goal of these sessions was to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to actively combat corruption within their respective political parties.
This strategic meeting served as a unique platform for dialogue and knowledge sharing, fostering stronger regional cooperation among liberal political parties. It was an invaluable opportunity to exchange best practices, ideas, and experiences – all in pursuit of nurturing a culture of transparency, integrity, and accountability within the political landscape of Southeastern Europe.
As NDI continues to support parties in their journey towards stronger democracy, the Belgrade Academy stands as a testament to the power of collective action in the fight against corruption.
